Effective R.U.L.E: A Life-Changing Process by Satish Shitut is a beautifully written self-help book which I had a lot to learn from.

It talks about really small things which we all know about, but obviously, never follow. There are four principles that the book asks us to work upon, the R.U.L.E process to lead not a successful, but an effective life.

The author wrote the book during the pandemic and it has many positive instances that brought a smile on my face. The book begins with the story of the author’s grandmother’s life. He talks about how, even at the time of death, she was happy; it was so touching and inspiring. It is written in a calming, almost soothing manner. The book has many spiritual aspects, explained beautifully from taking quotes from the Ramayana and Mahabharata.

It is mainly based on how we were before the pandemic, how we are now, what changes it has brought in us and how we can learn from it. It focuses on looking within ourselves and making observations. For someone who reads lots of self-help like me, I am rarely impressed. But the writing, the points Effective R.U.L.E covers, they touch a point. It is the sort of book you will want to pick up when you are feeling not so well.

The book uses many examples and states many facts to explain the concepts. There are numerous feel-good moments throughout the book; it was a book filled with positivity and brimming with energy.

It is narrated very well, keeping a conversational tone. The book is like a small guide to help you with things you struggle with in day-to-day life. I had an amazing time going through it. Recommended to all, because yes, it’s that good and you don’t want to miss it.
