When it comes to investing, nothing will pay off more than educating yourself. Do the necessary research and analysis before making any investment decisions.

This quote from Forbes top 100 money quotes of all times rightly points at the importance of the right education as well as important and systematic delving and probing before making any kind of investments.

Indeed, by this book of his titled “Art of Stock Investing”, the Author Mr Manikandan Ramalingam has very effortlessly and meticulously explained the complete fundamentals of the art of stock investing as well as all the related concepts with regards to investing in financial markets.

As Hungarian-American billionaire investor George Soros rightly said,

“ It’s not whether you are right or wrong that’s important, but how much money you make when you’re right and how much you lose when you are wrong.”, many investors become obsessed with being right even when the gains are small.

Winning big and cutting your losses when you are wrong are more important than being right.

As Manikandan has rightly pointed out, the art of stock investing is something you will learn from first understanding, grasping and then learning to apply the fundamental with the correct applicability to the varied market scenarios and trends.

He has explained them in a simple manner, ensuring that even people with minimal knowledge of the financial markets, can proceed to make investments viably after getting a hang of the essential concepts.

His narrative is crisp, style of writing lucid and the texts are absolutely well explained and to the point.Instead of making tall claims and suggesting over the top whizz bang, so called magical bullish sweepstakes he has chosen to instead stick to hard core ground realities. He has given the perfect principles of a balanced investment theory substantiated with the right amount of analytical research as well as data study. Data with regards to actual, important concepts rather than superficial ones that are not required.

I completely agree with his analytics and theories with respect to Brand value of a company, the P/E ratio theory as well as all related concepts , some of which being tricky, nevertheless have been explained painstakingly in a simplistic manner.

Agree you may find several books on stock investing as well as data guides related to the same. However, in my opinion, by far this is one of the simpler, one of the most conceptually powerful books on the subject I have come across.

Everything from the art of compounding to why and how the share prices rise and fall , to how to understand the ideal buy as well as sell periods, the book has explained it all affably.

As Ben Graham had pointed out, “ The individual investor should act consistently as an investor and not as a speculator.”

Indeed, in troubled times similar to those of the current period it becomes absolutely indispensable to not jump in stock trading simply on whims. The correct data research, analysis of the company’s growth charts as well as the debt ratio as pointed out by Manikandan is a crucial tool to determine the viability and fruitfulness of investment in any company. We have to be investors and not someone who can predict the future. We have to base our decision on proper analysis and real facts rather than risky, speculative forecasts

Here is where books like this come handy.
