With people getting back to their usual and with the vacations around the corner it becomes more than necessary to plan and effectively chalk out the holiday season in the most entertaining and fulfilling manner. Movie binge-watching is the second most important (going on a holiday naturally, being the foremost) we at Booxoul are here with the 5 latest Hollywood Movies to watch this summer with your family. Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore

I know the reviews doing the rounds rate this one from a drab to a near miss, not so fantastic piece of cinema. But hey, this is Dumbledore!!

After Grindelwald came in 4 years ago, replaces Johnny Depp with Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen.

Written by Rowling and Harry Potter screenwriter Steve Kloves and directed by David Yates this one deals with Grindelwald’s pursuits of power in the magical universe as he aims at starting a war with Muggles (non-magical people). Set in the 1930s, with magizoologist Newt Scamander, his brother Theseus, Professor Higgs from Hogwarts and a muggle baker Jacob, who forms Dumbledore’s skeletal crew to ingeniously thwart this plan of Grindelwald, the movie explores the big question-Will Grindelwald succeed in his diabolical plans? Or will this crew manage to conquer and achieve the near-impossible feat? Watch the movie to find out you guys !!

Spencer

A beautiful, yet tragic ode to Princess Diana breaks the traditional expectations of its viewers by presenting the startling yet horrifying idiosyncrasies of her life which might leave its viewers heartbroken. With the story being a bit bizarre and almost unconvincing at times, this one talks about Princess Diana’s struggles to worm her way out of this life and its perfections of it. Resorting to self-harm due to no way out and confinement this one is an all-out depiction which surely is one of the most flamboyant attempts made to depict this Diva’s life.

Kristen Stewart who plays Diana is according to me one of the finest choices made so far for the role of Diana, her sensitivity and incredibility mask the true hysteria and qualms that may have surrounded the Princess’s life. A powerful watch promising stellar deliverances!

The Lost City

A unique movie by Adam and Aaron Nee, this one draws inspiration from “Romancing the Stone” and many other adventure movies. As the synopsis has it this one is a story where a reclusive romance novelist who is on a book tour gets swept up in a kidnapping attempt that lands them both in a cutthroat jungle adventure. Hmm, sounds interesting right?

Promising playing like a dream, this one has an attempt to tickle the right spots in the adventure genre’s implied knickknacks making it an exciting prospect for a summer watch.

Morbius

The story of a biochemist Michael Morbius who tries to cure himself of a rare blood disease, but ends up infecting himself with a form of vampirism this is one movie I feel you should surely catch up on, for the sake of the chills and thrills. Starring Jared Leto, Matt Smith Adria Arjona and Jared Harris along with Tyrese Gibson and others and directed by Daniel Espinosa prepare to embark upon this roller coaster that is action. adventure as well as horror in equal measure. The main theme of the movie is Man v/s Self-conflict and that is a hard-hitting curveball for sure, I feel which makes this one a Must watch.

Eternals

Is a different kind of Marvel movie, this one had hit the screens towards the end of 2021. An ambitious superhero epic this one is intriguing as well as partially confounding.

The Eternals are from a group who are engineered and sent by Celestials to protect humanity, a 10 member team of immortals with superpowers. Reporting to Arishem, these have been living on earth for thousands of years now to keep the evils (called Deviants) at bay. Thus, when these deviants return things go awry. This one definitely touts the new superhero trope of Marvel which is new, and unconventional and has been made in tandem to cater to a necessary “upgrade”, a vital necessity required time and again in the cinematic, creative world.

This could be your average Marvels movie or it could be beyond if you choose to look beyond the visuals to deeper, more meaningful magic that pours from this one.
