There are a few things for me that make the book worth every penny and then more than that: First, Authors narration style, it’s the story and the amount of research he has put in while the book, and it’s cover. And Rajat Pillai’s Yoddha: The Dynasty of Samudragupta is one such book that has all the above-mentioned qualities.
Opening Lines: He had a towering presence and it befitted his status of being the most powerful man in the whole of Aryavrat.
Page Count: 330 pages
Publisher: Jaico Publishing House
Publication Date: January 2018
Yoddha: The Dynasty of Samudragupta has many shades that are woven smoothly into the story. The book is Thriller and Historical fiction, set in the AD 379. Though the story dragged in some places, it managed to keep in its hold until the end.
Author has done an excellent job crafting so many characters and each different from the other. Though the onslaught of so many characters became a task for me to remember.
