Book Review of
The Light catcher by Sameer Chopra
It is a very rare opportunity that you get to read a book perfect in every way. Its story, characters, and language all amaze you. The book I am talking about here is The Light Catcher by the Author, Sameer Chopra.
Opening Lines: Life has a strange way of moving in circles.
Page Counts: 308 pages
Publisher: White Falcon
Publication Date: January 19th, 2019
The best part of the book is its narrative. The debutante Author has written in beautiful and smooth writing, lulling you into the depths of the story. Not once did I feel that it was written by someone inexperienced. Sameer’s narration is so potent that a reader can literally feel the passion, the struggle, failure and a world full of opportunities in the book.
Now comes the characters:
The Author Sameer has penned the characters so well in the story, that they kind of remind you of your own struggles. The connection you establish is so real.
You get so engrossed in their story that their pain, struggles, and confusion become entangled with your own thoughts. I really loved how the Author didn’t let his characters Purab, Rati, Sneha etc. etc. cross the fine line of unrealism.
And the story:
The storyline is so realistic, that you are kind of drawn to the book ‘The Light catcher’. Though at times the story kind of feels stretched out but the characters, narratives, and the storyline is so good that it makes up for the negative traits of the book.
The story has a perfect climax. It is so well written that it lingers to your subconscious long after reading the book.
It’s a pretty fast-paced book. It has so many layers to unravel that will keep it’s readers hooked and entertained.
Okay, let’s talk about the BOOK COVER
As they say ‘A picture is worth a thousand words’ and it aptly applies to the cover of this book so well.
Do I recommend the book?
If you want to a read book full realism and dreams of a common, this is a book for you. The Light catcher Won’t disappoint you at all. This is one of the best read of 2019 so far.
My Rating: 4/5 stars
