The Best Books, #Bookstagrammers have read so far in 2018 and WHY?
More than half of 2018 has passed and a lot of bibliophiles are still struggling with ‘Completing their 100 books a year Challenge on Goodreads’. So, we decided to ask users on Instagram about which is the best book they have read so far in 2018 and are some responses we got!
A Man Called Ove
by Fredrik Backman
It’s warm yet real set up engulfs you. You’re just a reality away from being a part of it entirely.
Big Little Lies
by Liane Moriarty
It is the best book I’ve read so far in 2018. Not only is it a well-written mystery, but the characters!
The God of Small Things
by Arundhati Roy
Me: I tried reading that book once but I felt bored. Is it really that good?
Him: The opening is a bit slow and boring.
But the thing with the book is either you end up living it or you hate it.
I guess that’s the case with most of the Booker Prize winners.
Me: Will give it a try and tell you whether I ended up living it or hating it 😉
by Emily Bain Murphy
The book is about a girl and all the secrets that are revealed when she visits her mother’s hometown. I love it because it has all the elements in one: Romance, fantasy, magic, historical fiction and references to Shakespeare’s classics too.
One of my friends sent me an epub of this book along with dozens of others. I was not even interested in reading it. Then one day I was going through Goodreads and saw the blurb and it kind of got me so I started reading and trust me I couldn’t stop. I finished it in 3 hours and as soon as I was done with it I ordered a copy from Amazon. I just had had it in my hands. The day it got delivered I read it again. ❤️
Children of Blood and Bone
by Tomi Adeyemi
Adeena: My friend wanted to me to read this book
It’s good, not that awesome, but good… story and writing is great but I am not able to connect with any character.
The best book that I have read this year till date would be Cosmos by Carl Sagan. In fact, it’s the best book I have read to date! I’ll tell you why this book combines the universe and our thinking beautifully. It’s so easy to understand and you’ll drown in the sea of stars and galaxies even if you’re not a space enthusiast. I suggest everybody to read this. And I suggest it to you as well!
Will keep updating this post…
