A Perfect Beach Read!

Book Review of
Sometimes It Happens by Karan Sharma

I have never read a book so simply written. One can feel the very aura of the Author Karan Singh through his writing.
Sometimes it happens is a story of a 25-year-old Protagonist Gautham falling in love with a 37-year-old woman and their journey beyond.

Opening Lines: IT WAS A PERFECT WINTER’S DAY IN MUMBAI, THE financial capital of India and the hub of the banking industry, stock exchanges and of course, Bollywood.

Page Counts: 160 pages

Publisher: Srishti Publishers

Publication Date: December 14th, 2018

I knew from the blurb that I was probably going to like it – because there’s nothing I love more than a light Romances! BUT this book is so much better than I had hoped for. Though at first, I was a tiny little bit skeptic about Ragini being so much older than Gautham, but, once I came to know both of them, I was totally in for both of them. I was right in there living this amazing Journey of love and it’s ups and downs.

The best part of the book is its narrative style. Author Karan has written it in a very simple language, no dilly-dallying. Even the characters are so humane, you connect with them on a more personal level. A perfect beach book!!!

It’s a book that stays with you for a while. A beautiful journey of love. Karan penned a beautiful story! Would not say perfectly written, but a good one☺☺

Do I recommend this book?

Yes. It’s a book that lightens your mood, very light to the palate and fast-paced. It took me only 2 hours to finish the book. A perfect companion. Sometimes it happens by Karan Sharma has earned a 4 out 5 for its story and narratives.

My Rating: 4/5 stars

“Writing stories is a passion. Making people remote to these stories is priceless.” – Karan Sharma
After more than twenty years of working in a highly successful family business and owning a popular brand in the interiors industry, Karan decided it was time to get into self-publishing—an idea that came to mind when he saw his son having so much fun reading books. It rekindled a latent passion for writing that he had developed after his college days, leading to his first book. It Happens, along with other books that will come out in due course, will be a testament to his storytelling and creative skills.

Karan has a beautiful family with two young boys, Aakash and Aayansh, and Aarti as his lovely life companion. He is a commerce graduate and a battle-hardened businessman. His other passions include both playing and watching cricket and football, as well as being an avid traveler.
