Never judge a book by its cover, and this holds true for the book ‘If I am born again, Lord please‘ by Shopone. The cover really failed to impress me, but never mind. What really impressed me were the poems.

The book ‘If I am born again, Lord please’ is a collection of seven poetries’, which are interconnected to form a beautiful story. These poetries’ Tell a tale of Love, longing, heartbreak, loneliness, pains etc., all experienced by the poet in his ever continuing journey of life.
What did I like about the book?
For me poetries are not just words but a book full of emotions and, Shopone’s ‘If I am born again Lord please’ is just that. Seeped in varied emotions of love and loss and in-betweens, it kind of overwhelmed me.
The language used in ‘If I am born again lord please’ is impeccable and very engaging. It took me around thirty mins to finish the book, but the impact it left on me was huge. And a few illustrations gave a profound depth to the poetries in a more visual way.
What I didn’t like about the book?
Well, the only thing I did not like is its cover.
Do I recommend this book?
